Our relationship with brokers
NexWeave is a lead-generation marketplace, not a licensed insurance producer or broker. We do not hold a state insurance license, we do not bind coverage, and we do not negotiate policy terms.
When a participating broker unlocks a quote request you submit, the broker pays NexWeave a fee — per lead in the current pricing model. Brokers that bind coverage with you may additionally remit a success-based kicker to NexWeave (capped; details in the broker agreement).
These fees do not increase the premium you pay. Insurance premiums are set by carriers and brokers according to their own underwriting and pricing; any referral fee is paid from the broker’s commission, not added to your bill.
How this affects your decisions
- We don’t hide which coverage categories / brokers are available — all listings surface under your filters.
- We don’t steer you toward a single carrier; up to three brokers can unlock any given request, and you choose who to engage.
- We don’t provide coverage advice. AI-generated suggestions in the portal are estimates only.
- Our broker panel is curated — we vet licenses and AI-specialty experience before onboarding any broker.
Broker licensing
All brokers on the marketplace warrant that they hold active licenses in the jurisdictions where they operate. We verify licensing as part of our broker application review but cannot guarantee the status at any given moment. If you have concerns about a specific broker’s licensing, contact [email protected].
State insurance law note
NexWeave does not act as an agent, broker, producer, or solicitor under the insurance laws of any state. We do not collect insurance applications, counsel on coverage, or represent any carrier. Our role is limited to referring interested buyers to independent licensed brokers who then assume full responsibility for the placement.
